September 12, 2017
We believe our communities are stronger when everyone feels welcome and we work together for the common good. Welcoming Week, taking place September 15 - 24, 2017, celebrates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace new Americans and their contributions to the social fabric of our country. It's a chance for neighbors— both immigrants and U.S.-born residents—to get to know one another and celebrate what unites us as a community!
Each participant will receive a passport. After participating in each activity have it stamped by the instructor. When your passport is completed turn it in to the front desk and you will be entered into a drawing for a free month of membership or a new set of ear buds!
Some of our activities will include:
Fri. 9/15 - Kids Night Out at the Fry Family YMCA from 6-9pm. For kids ages 3-9. Cost is $20 per child.
Tues. 9/19 - Tour Tuesday! Anyone in the community age 18 and older is welcome to come and try the Y with a valid photo ID. You do not need to be with a member!
Family Dash at the Kroehler Family YMCA from 6-7 pm.
Thur. 9/21 - Food Truck Thursday from 11am-1pm. Save your appetite and eat outside on our picnic tables after purchasing your lunch from a local food truck vendor. Spend time socializing and getting to know one another!
