Summer Day Camp

Join us for a fun, safe, and active summer where campers are celebrated for who they are and take part in experiences which promote self-esteem.

Our day camp is designed to help children achieve new levels of individual success. Children are divided into groups of 10 campers by grade level and supervised by a trained staff member. Activities are designed for each development level, which allows campers to progressively try new adventures as they learn and grow.

Adventurers (4 year olds)
Campers have the option of attending camp half days (8:00-1:00pm) or full days, as well as 3-day or 5-day options. They begin to experience the magic of camp as they enjoy activities including story time, sand play, a visit to the pool, arts and crafts, songs and games.  Campers participating in full day programs have a daily rest hour after lunch and may bring a small blanket or stuffed animal.  All children need to be toilet trained and are required to leave a full change of clothes at camp during their session(s). Extended care available.

Explorers: (Entering Grades K - 1) The First Traditional Camping Experience!
Campers participate in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, nature projects, sports, swimming, boating and more. The Explorer program is designed to meet the unique social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of a young camper.

Voyagers: (Entering Grades 2 - 3) The Tradition Continues!
Voyagers are off to discover new areas of camp as they participate in the adventure programs for the first time.  Arts and crafts, sports and games, archery, and swimming are just part of the continuing tradition. Campers are challenged to learn new skills and try new activities.

Trailblazers: (Entering Grades 4 - 5) Onward!
Adventure, boating, and outdoor education experiences enhance the Trailblazer program. Campers have an opportunity to develop their individuality while learning new skills as they choose special interest activities.

Navigators: (Entering Grades 6 - 8) Leading the way!
Navigators lead the camp by example as they continue to practice and model the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.  Campers participate in a wide variety of camp activities including challenge courses, team sports, camp service projects, boating, discussion groups, team building, and swimming.

Leaders In Training-LIT: (Entering Grades 9 - 10)
This two week program is designed to help young adults develop the leadership skills and experience they need to become future camp counselors.  Through fun camp activities that balance work and play LIT's will learn about working with others, problem solving, leadership, and how a camp operates.
