YMCA Camp Duncan has a strong and experienced staff team. Kim Kiser serves as Camp Duncan's Executive Director as well as the Group Vice President of Camping for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. She has over 32 years of YMCA work. Our year-round professional staff team has a strong commitment to camping.
Summer camp counselors are college age or older who exhibit maturity, good judgment, camp skills, and ability to relate to children. Camp counselors undergo reference and background checks and receive extensive on-site training which includes certifications in first aid, CPR, and basic water safety. We also hire international counselors who enhance opportunities for cross-cultural and diverisity understanding. With over 90 summer counselors and a strong, experienced year-round leadership team - YMCA Camp Duncan staff pride themselves on providing safe, fun proramming all year long.
