Giving Kids a World of Good

YMCA Camp Duncan - Gives Kids a World of Good.

For more than 20 years, there has been an amazing international influence at YMCA Camp Duncan.   From international staff, theme days, and even campers - the cultural flavor at camp has made a huge impact on the camper experience.   YMCA Camp Duncan is a summer camp home for children with diabetes, tourette syndrome, kidney disease, neurological disorders and children that are burn surviors.  

  • 35 campers attended Tourette Syndrome camp sponsored by the Tourette Syndrome Camp Organization.
  • 81 campers who are burn survivors attended Camp I Am Me sponsored by the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance.
  • 221 campers with diabetes attended Triple D Camp sponsored by the Northern Illinois American Diabetes Association.
  • 364 resident and day campers, received scholarship assistance to attend Camp Duncan's resident and day camp programs.
