Y Recognized by the Forum for Youth Investment
The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago was honored to be recognized recently by the Forum for Youth Investment – a nonprofit, nonpartisan "action tank" dedicated to helping communities and the nation make sure all young people are Ready by 21®: ready for college, work and life. Informed by rigorous research and practical experience, the Forum forges innovative ideas, strategies and partners to strengthen solutions for young people and those who care about them.
The Forum recently published an article as part of their Ready by 21 initiative about the Y’s commitment to improving our programs and services on behalf of our staff, our participants and our participants’ families.
The article details the position we created to oversee quality improvement and the multiple steps we’ve taken to ensure that improvement is made – using the Youth Program Quality Intervention (YPQI) system.
From assessments to training, workshops, and data collection and analysis, the Y is working to make our services the very best that they can be.
