On September 27, the Y's Achievers program was featured on WTTW's American Graduate Day, a seven-hour mulitmedia event that highlighted the people and organizations that are encouraging students to commit to staying on a path to high school graduation."

On September 27, the Y's Achievers program was featured on WTTW's American Graduate Day, a seven-hour mulitmedia event that highlighted the people and organizations that are encouraging students to commit to staying on a path to high school graduation. Brandis Friedman, correspondent for Chicago Tonight, interviewed Dick Malone, president and CEO of YMCA of Metro Chicago, and JaJuan Roberson, YMCA Achievers participant. Achievers gives youth the opportunity to develop the college readiness, career development and life-planning skills that are essential for future success.

 

American Graduate Day is a public media initiative funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to help local communities across the country address the dropout crisis.
