About Y Camps

Y camps have a way of transforming kids. It takes a child away from their normal routine and creates a safe environment for them to overcome challenges like mastering the climbing wall or hitting their first bullseye. With the great outdoors as a background, staff design activities to teach life lessons, like persistence in completing a difficult task, creativity when solving problems, and working together as a group to achieve a goal.

The cabin atmosphere shows children how to live cooperatively by sharing chores and respecting each other’s differences. Around the campfire, kids are encouraged to tell stories and share their opinions, and be open-minded and supportive as they listen to others.
